How do I import a recipe from a link?
Tap the import option on the Home screen and paste a link from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, or a recipe website. HotnSpicy reads it and builds a clean recipe card with ingredients, steps, calories, and macros.
My link didn't import — what went wrong?
Some posts are private, region-locked, or don't actually contain a recipe, which can prevent extraction. Try a different link, make sure the post is public, and check your internet connection. If a public recipe link still fails, email us the link and we'll take a look.
Can I scan a photo or a handwritten card?
Yes. Use the snap option to capture a handwritten card, a cookbook page, or a photo of a finished dish, and HotnSpicy will turn it into a recipe.
How are calories and macros calculated?
Nutrition is estimated automatically per serving using AI based on the recipe's ingredients and amounts. Estimates are a helpful guide, not medical or dietary advice — always double-check if you have specific health needs.
How do I manage or cancel my HotnSpicy Pro subscription?
Subscriptions are billed through your App Store account. Open the App Store app, tap your profile photo, tap Subscriptions, select HotnSpicy, and you can change or cancel from there. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the end of the current period.
How do I restore a purchase on a new device?
Sign in with the same account, open the Pro/paywall screen, and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the app, go to Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and all synced recipes, cookbooks, meal plans, and lists from our servers. You can also email us to request deletion.
Does the app work offline?
Recipes you've saved are available offline. Features that use AI — importing from a link or photo, identifying fridge ingredients, and estimating nutrition — need an internet connection.
